This Kodak Jiffy Six-16 Camera Series I is a vintage Art Deco beauty which was manufactured by Eastman Kodak from 1933 to 1937. (Yes, Kodak was still selling cameras in the middle of the Great Depression.) This camera is in excellent condition and is very clean and appears to be in working order. (We haven't tested with film, but the shutter seems to work.)
The Jiffy Six-16 Camera was named because it uses a 616 film roll. The prints produced are 2.5" x 4.25". The Kodak Jiffy Six-16 was marketed as their easiest to use folding camera to date. We see what they mean - with other antique folding bellows cameras, you have to find and press a difficult-to-see dimple in the camera body to pop open the door and then carefully slide the bellows out - the Six-16 just pops out on its own when you push an easy to see silver button. Easy-peasy, ready to shoot!
Camera geek alert, we're going to talk lenses! The Jiffy Six-16 vintage camera sports a Twindar 105mm f/8 lens which has two focus zones: 5-10 feet and 10 feet to infinity. (Wow, that's almost magical, this camera can focus to INFINITY!)
There are three, count 'em, three, aperture settings: f/8, f/11, and f/16, but only two shutter speeds: I for “Instant” (approximately 1/50 seconds) and T for “Time.”
All in all, this camera is a lovely Art Deco example of Kodak's "state-of-the-art" of the 1930s.

We photographed this camera with the wrong box in the background. That's the box for the Kodak Junior Six-16. (See that camera listing.) This camera comes with the box from the shop where it was originally purchased. The box isn't in great shape, but it does have some nice 1930s graphics on it. It says "Jays Boston and Wellesley." We're guessing this was a department store in Boston and Wellesley, Massachusetts.
