This is a complete set of the J. Herbin 1670 Anniversary Fountain Pen Inks. The set includes five glass 50ml bottles of fountain pen ink in different colors. These inks are a unique formulation that the J. Herbin company came up with to celebrate the anniversary of their founding in the year 1670. Each ink is a very rich color and contains specks of gold leaf.
These inks flow very nicely in fountain pens and are a rich addition to your journaling or correspondence.
In this set you'll receive one (1) 50ml bottle of 1670 Anniversary Fountain Pen ink in the following colors:
• Stormy Grey (Dark Grey)
• Rouge Hematite (Red)
• Bleu Ocean (Deep Blue)
• Emeraude de Chivor (Emerald Green)
• Caroube de Chrypre (Deep Brown)
Each bottle is made of heavy glass and will not spill. The top has sealing wax and the J.Herbin wax seal is stamped on the front, holding a decorative gold or silver cord.
J. Herbin inks are made in France; the company is the oldest manufacturer of pen ink in the world. The company uses all natural dyes in their fountain pen inks. This natural composition is reflected in the neutral pH of the inks. This means that if combined with acid-free paper, the writing or drawings with this ink will last a long time and are of archival quality.
The 1670 Collection celebrates the rich life and adventures of J. Herbin, an enterprising French sailor of the mid-17th century. He made a number of voyages to India, collecting ingredients and formulas for his sealing wax and inks. He began making pen inks in his Paris workshop beginning in 1700 with the "Ink of Ships" and the "Jewel of Inks." Today, Herbin inks are widely used and internationally renowned.
This set includes the ink bottles in the photos. No pens or props are included.
