This vintage poison bottle listing definitively fits under our "Arcane Objects" category! This antique poison bottle has the words "Not to be Taken" written across the front, to ensure that its contents weren't ingested.
Such bottles have other features to warn folks they contained poison. The cobalt blue color was a color frequently found on poisonous substance bottles. The raised ridges on the sides of the bottle are also an indicator that the contents were poisonous. (This was to ensure that folks would know the bottle contained poison in the dim, candlelight of yesteryear.)
These bottles were made from the late 19th century through the early 20th century. We're not exactly certain as to which year this poison bottle was made.
The bottle measures: 5 1/4" x 2" x 1 1/4"
